The idea of home isn’t fixed. It changes as life changes, careers develop, families grow and the seasons change. Having lived and observed that evolution myself,
it’s shaped how I show up for the people in my life, whether old friends or soon to be new ones. Helping folks understand their options and find a place that truly fits their lives is where I found a home for myself.
For most of my life, music and teaching were at the heart of everything I did. I toured the country with professional groups, competed internationally, performed in stadiums packed with 50,000 to 60,000 people, and even earned an international gold medal in 2008 with a percussion ensemble. I play multiple instruments, write music and fronted a rock band called The Goods. Alongside performing, I taught music both locally and nationally, including at some of the most competitive groups in Silicon Valley.

My lifestyle was nomadic, always on the move touring, rehearsing, teaching, and performing. Home wasn’t a single place; it was wherever the music took me. One of my favorite parts of that life was teaching kids. Explaining abstract musical ideas how something should feel, the nuances of timing, or why a piece wasn’t quite coming together. This taught me patience and creativity. I learned to communicate the same concept in countless ways until it finally clicked for someone. That skill, meeting people where they are and helping them understand, became one of my greatest strengths.
When I transitioned into real estate in 2017, those skills proved invaluable. I started in the industry through fundraising and advertising, working with agents and helping connect schools and programs with sponsors. Once I became licensed, I joined a high-volume team in Portland and quickly moved into leadership. I found my niche in training agents and guiding clients through transactions, supporting hundreds of deals, and learning the ins and outs of the business.
Life took a new turn when my partner, Ashton, and I moved with our one-year-old son, Leo, to Boston to help my brother grow his real estate company. He focused on development, transforming old buildings into beautiful spaces to live, while we stepped in to help build out the residential sales side, taking on a VP role and working closely with my brother to strengthen that part of the business.
But as parents, we soon realized our idea of “home” had changed. For the first time we knew where our true home base was, a place to put down roots, build community, and create lasting relationships for our family. Leaving Portland made us realize that was where we truly belonged.
Returning to Portland wasn’t just a move; it was a fresh start for my business and my family. I was essentially starting over, but I saw it as an opportunity to do things differently. In the past, my work was very transactional. I was a lead on a high-volume team, and my days were spent helping agents solve problems in their transactions, supporting clients through the process, and then moving right on to the next deal. There was rarely time to really get to know our clients or build deeper relationships.
This time, I wanted to focus on building real relationships. I understood firsthand how life changes can reshape what “home” means for people. So I made it my mission to help others figure out what home means to them, whether it’s buying a first place, finding the space to grow a family, or making an investment for the future. These decisions matter because home is our foundation, where every day starts and every day ends, where memories are made, dreams are born, and where we find safety and comfort through life's tragedies.

Taking this genuine, relationship-driven approach has led many of my clients to become good friends. When someone trusts me with one of the biggest decisions in their life, I am deeply honored and it’s only natural that a real relationship grows beyond the transaction.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me with my family. Leo is 3 now and is obsessed with dinosaurs and loves music (the Red Hot Chili Peppers are a favorite). We love going to the zoo, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), or jamming out at home.
In my real estate work, my focus is on helping people make decisions that not only fit but shape their lives and drive them forward. Buying or selling a home is rarely just a transaction. It’s usually tied to a bigger change, growing a family, relocating, investing for the future, or closing one chapter and starting another. My role is to help people navigate this complex process smoothly, helping them understand their options and feel confident about the choices they’re making.
A big part of what I do is education, walking clients through the process, explaining strategy and tradeoffs, and making sure nothing feels rushed or unclear. I take this responsibility seriously because housing decisions can shape decades of someone’s life. Alongside individual clients, I also work with developers on new multi-unit projects, including representing a current 16-unit development with additional projects planned. That experience gives me a deeper perspective on value, marketing, planning, and outside the box strategy, which benefits every client I work with.
My goal is simple: help people find a true home, and guide them through the process with honesty and care. After the transaction, I’m here as a lifelong resource and friend.
Sincerely,

Drew Ramey
